This design is a pure high-performance twin fin in terms of rocker and concaves but in combination with a 70’s style flyer pin-tail planshape. The flyer and pintail both reduce the tail area which is highly suited to twin-fin surfing, even though many twin fins are made with big wide fishtails that are difficult to control and fit into the wave face. The double concave provides significant grip, which is always a benefit of the twin fin concept. Plan shapes are close to a normal performance shortboard with only a moderate increase in the nose area to create a slightly more parallel plan shape between the feet. Can be used as a dedicated twin or with the addition of a tail fin plug for a flexing keel or small stabiliser fin.
